July 27th, 2026 - Testing

Dear TNY,

Testing”…who cares?

I tried so hard to keep reading this.  I was skimming by my page two.  Then I was skipping whole pages by my page four.  And I skipped to the end of the story to find out that he hadn’t taken the test for the third time?  That means 20 pages of this story were spent in the time right before he would take the test?

That’s fucking terrible, fam.

So, I give this one double thumbs down, both thumbs covered in shit.  Dog shit AND human shit.  Both shits.  Both thumbs.  This isn’t mix and match.  It’s like a black and white cookie on each thumb, just brown and brown.

This weekend was my birthday.  Big 45.  And you know, I’m honestly not going to write that much about it.  I took the weekend off.  I was feeling good about it.  I left my host family’s house on Friday.  Played some pinball at a museum.  Was bored out of my mind doing it.  And then I drove off into the unknown for a couple of hours, got high, and got really sad.  I wanted to stuff the car into a ditch or pylon or parked car on the side of the road.  For a lot of reasons which I won’t get into.  But then I found a friend.  And it got way, way better.  And even though the shower didn’t make hot water and there was no fucking soap or salt and pepper or anything that resembled what would be in a normal AirBnB, it got better.

I didn’t find people.  I found buddy.

And that was more than enough.

So, sorry to disappoint.  I just don’t have much to say about a shitty fucking story and I’m bored with writing about my own sadness. Or, just writing in general.  I’m going to go see what I can do to help the host family.  I made trim today, from scratch.  It’s round and wild and I did that shit.  That’s also enough.
